  3. In the Settings page, select “Apps and Sales Channels.”
  4. Look for “Develop Apps” on the top left and click it.
  5. Click “Create an app” on the top right.
  6. In the modal that appears, name the app “Merch Factory” and set the developer as your admin ID.
  7. Click on “Configure Admin API Scopes” for your created app.
  8. Check the following scopes:
    write_orders, read_orders, write_products, read_products,
    read_assigned_fulfillment_orders, write_assigned_fulfillment_orders,
    read_fulfillments, write_fulfillments,

    read_third_party_fulfillment_orders, write_third_party_fulfillment_orders
  9. Set the Webhook version to 2024-01.
  10. Save your changes.
  11. Go to the “Overview” tab and click “Install app.”
  12. After installation, copy the Admin API Access Token provided. Save it securely, as it can only be revealed once. This token is needed in the Merch Factory Dashboard.

2. Pass information to Merch Factory Dashboard

  1. Open your Merch Factory Dashboard/Application.
  2. Click on the “Shopify Store” option in the navigation menu.
  3. You will be prompted to enter three details: Store URL, Store Shopify URL, and Admin API Access Token.
  4. For “Store URL,” enter your store/website’s URL.
  5. To find “Store Shopify URL,” go to your Shopify store admin settings. Locate your store name at the top left, and underneath, you’ll find a string like this: {store_name}.myshopify.com. This is your “Store Shopify URL.” Pass this by writing https://store_name.myshopify.com in the Merch Factory Dashboard.
  6. For “Admin API Access Token,” use the value you saved in previous step.

3. Connect Shopify Store & Fetch Orders

Once you have entered the required information in the Merch Factory Dashboard/Application, click on the “Connect Store” button. Within less than half a minute, your Merch Factory warehouse will be successfully connected to your Shopify Store.

4. Add product SKU to Shopify Store

  1. Create a product in Merch Factory and save it to your collections by going to “Saved Products” in the Merch Factory Dashboard.
  2. In your Shopify admin area, navigate to ‘Products’ and select the specific product you want to link with Merch Factory.
  3. Once you’re on the product editing page, go to the variant section.
  4. For each variant, click on it, and under the inventory section, enter the SKU.
  5. The SKU format should be: the word “MF,” a space, the SKU copied from the Merch Factory Dashboard, another space, and finally, the variation/size of the product you want to link. The final SKU should look like: MF 213433213 XL.

5. Fetch Orders & Process Them

  1. Retrieve your Shopify orders for fulfillment with Merch Factory by navigating to the “All Orders” page.
  2. Select “Draft Orders” where orders with linked Merch Factory items from your Shopify Store will be displayed.
  3. Click on the respective orders, review and confirm the details, then proceed to place the order.

Additional Settings

Update Tracking Details when the order is Shipped: When this option is enabled, the tracking details will be automatically updated in your Shopify store when the order is shipped from Merch Factory. This even works with orders that have products from multiple channels / vendors. In these cases, tracking details are only updated for the products that are shipped from Merch Factory.
This feature is not working due to Shopify API limitations. We are working on a solution to make this feature available to all merchants.

For COD Orders: If you want to process Cash On Delivery Orders with Merch Factory, install the Advanced Cash on Delivery app on your Shopify Store. Orders fetched in the Merch Factory from the Shopify store will be identified as COD orders.
