Standardized paper size metrics used in e-commerce apparel printing to define print area dimensions.
A3 and A4 are internationally standardized paper size metrics (ISO 216) widely used in the custom apparel and print-on-demand industries to define and price the printable canvas size of a design. An A4 print size measures approximately 8.27 x 11.69 inches (210 x 297 mm) and is the standard dimensions utilized for left-chest logos, small front-pocket prints, or standard central-chest graphics on smaller t-shirts. An A3 print size is exactly double the area of A4, measuring approximately 11.69 x 16.53 inches (297 x 420 mm). The A3 print size is the standard required in modern streetwear design for massive, eye-catching center-back graphics, heavy drop-shoulder center-front prints, or high-impact artwork that covers the bulk of the garment torso. In digital printing, larger print sizes require higher ink usage and longer print head cycle times, making A3 prints more expensive than A4 prints, but offering significantly higher perceived brand value.
